What is an RSS?
What does it stand for?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication.
What does it do?
RSS is an XML format and it’s role is to share content for blogs, news and other web content.
What RSS does best is it keeps all your favourite blogs or website news in one manageable location and is automated. For example, if i make new blog post, and you have subscribed to my blog you will see the update in your reader.
Reader?
Yes, a feed aggregator better known as feed reader, news reader that gathers news, blog posts and updated content and is delivered straight to your reader.
Which reader do you recommend?
I use Google Reader as i find it’s the simplest to use and is very much like Google Mail. Other readers include NewzCrawler, Bloglines and NewsGator.
Is this for me?
It can save you time because all you have to do is open the reader and there you have it, access to all your favourite blogs or websites in one place without having to visit the actual website.
