UK goes crazy for Petrol!

I was on my way home from work on Friday and i saw ques of traffic at every petrol station i past, i wondered what the heck was going on. Petrol prices are always on the up here in the UK, priced at around £1.08 per litre (roughly $2.05). When i started driving it was only £0.71.

Anyway, after watching the news and reading some online articles it seems that the Grangemouth oil refinery in Scotland has shut down due to workers going strike. So what does this mean for the UK? A lot because Grangemouth oil refinery provides petrol for a 3rd of the UK and when the news was broken everyone went crazy and filled up which caused mayhem at the pumps. Why couldn’t everyone just calm down and buy their normal amount?

Here is the article on the BBC website.
