time, time and time

When your a blogger you really do need to manage your time well. Over the next few weeks i’m going to be looking at my time schedule and see exactly where my time goes.

Remember i’m a web developer working from 9 until 5:30 monday to friday, although i am sat at a computer all day and may sneek a post or two during the day. I need to see my girlfriend most days, and spend time with friends and family. So when can you blog? In YOUR spare time. Never neglect anything.

Should you neglect something or someone so you can blog instead? No, that is not managing time correctly. If you plan to go out, then go out, you can always blog when you get back in. You will lose things if you neglect them. Make use of the timestamp feature in WordPress.

I do have some time to myself for example, my girlfriend works weekends and i don’t, so i can spend all day saturday and sunday blogging. I couldn’t blog much this weekend just gone because i went shopping with a friend, i could have neglected them. Remember the more you say no, the less they will ask you again and you lose friends.

Anyway, a quick update. Over the next weeks or months, i will be adding a portfolio of  websites i’ve developed for clients through the Web Design agency i work for. I have the chance to showcase my work to the world. I’ve been wanting to do this for sometime now because as well as showing, i’m also keeping a catalog of work i’ve done.
