I would receive around 1 visitor every 2 weeks which makes me think whats the point in having it on your blog? Along with not delivering traffic it slows down the site and eats resources so thats a bonus of removing it. Will i ever return to it? Probably not unless they do something about it and starts to drive real towards sites.

I might try some other neat looking tools such as Entrecard. I’ve heard good things about Entrecard and may give them a try sometime next week.

What is Entrecard?

“Entrecard is an easy way to network with other blog owners; Get to know your dedicated readers and favorite writers.”

All you do is display the Entrecard widget in your sidebar and it will show someone elses “business card” and of course your business card will show on another blog.

There are some big name blogs using Entrecard such as John Chow and Problogger.

Anyway, after watching the news and reading some online articles it seems that the Grangemouth oil refinery in Scotland has shut down due to workers going strike. So what does this mean for the UK? A lot because Grangemouth oil refinery provides petrol for a 3rd of the UK and when the news was broken everyone went crazy and filled up which caused mayhem at the pumps. Why couldn’t everyone just calm down and buy their normal amount?

This is good because if you want to get some traffic quickly and have some good news to post you can take this quick indexing method to get a good head start on things. An example of this is smemon’s post on the eduardo injury that happened a couple of months ago.

This is a good tactic for any blogger who wishes to seek out search engine traffic.

I’ve got talkplaystation.com to a point where i don’t have to keep an eye on indexing because i know it will index. Although i’m not receiving great traffic through search engines for talkplaystation, it’s going up day by day though. I need to improve in this area and get more search engine traffic. I will be focusing on this next week.

I’m going to remove the widget next week and stick to organic traffic. Also it may speed up the sites load times a little so thats another advantage of removing BlogRush.

Other blogs have tried BlogRush and removed them due to them not doing any good, smemon for example.

I think i will just carry on as normal for now and put more content into my blog because most of my traffic now is coming from search engines, which is a good thing i suppose.

Oh and by the way, if your waiting for them photo’s i took while i was away, don’t worry i’m still writing the post up and haven’t had much time.

I used social media and article submit websites to gain visitors and the subscriber count is going up day by day.

In terms of traffic for daparky.com, it’s going pretty smooth and stable. Brining in on average 70 unique visits per day. I know March isn’t over yet but the daparky.com received 2,187 unique visits for the month which isn’t bad, the blog has only been online since Feb 8th.

You could see a Gran Turismo 5 Prologue review from me in the coming week along with a movie review which i haven’t done yet. I also plan to start the Web Development category which i haven’t done so yet due to busyness.

It was nice though, to receive a lot of traffic from YouTube, but if it infringes copyright, don’t bother. Still, yesterday talkplaysation.com received 520 visitors from incoming links from all over the place, with the top referrer being officialnintendomagazine.co.uk.

I’m able to keep all my blogs up to date at the moment, i think i maybe able to handle 2 more blogs, any more i will start to struggle a little.

In terms of traffic, it’s been ok, talkplaystation.com received 19 uniques yesterday which is good for a site thats only been online a few days. It’s not even indexed by Google yet. I’ve only submitted it to Technorati.

Traffic for this blog is at a steady 40 uniques per day on average, i’m sure that will increase when i start advertising.

I mentioned that i was going to get rid of the video game category and make a dedicated blog for that. I’ve now decided to keep the video game category and just use it for personal opinions on video games etc. I will get rid of other categories that i don’t need including the money one.

I hope to launch talkplaystation.com this week too which is a blog for Playstation fan boys. Similar to the video game category on this blog, i will be posting new screenshots, news, videos for the Playstation platform. I was going to try and cover all three next generation systems but i figured out this would demand a lot of time and i only own Playstation products. If talkplaystation.com gets a lot of visitors, nothing will stop me from creating a blog for each of the consoles.

The key behind traffic is unique content and thats why this blog is receiving a fair amount of visitors.

As you can see, my blog post have been syndicated accross the network, with Burnley vs Watford being the popular post, no readers have read them. Why is that?
Ok it’s online been active a week, so i guess i should give it time, or maybe write better titles to grab peoples attention. I’m surprised that the earthquake in lincolnshire wasn’t popuar over BlogRush, it was mega popular in Google.

I will post more results in a months time.

In terms of traffic, i’m receiving a steady 30-40 unique visitors a day, which isn’t too bad considering i’ve only been online for 3 weeks.

I’m happy to say that my rss subscriber count is going up day by day and the highest it got to is 13 subscribers. I hope this continues, the subscribers must like the content and therefore want to catch future updates etc. As you can see from the image below, the count is sat at 11. For some reason the count goes down the next day, and then back up the day after, then down again and so on. It must be how many people have read my blog via their reader on that day.
