So i’ve completed Grand Theft Auto IV now, i wanted to before MGS4 came out because i’d probably not have gone back to GTA IV.

I have 3 game currently on pre-order and these are…

1. Metal Gear Solid 4 (released June 12)
2. Top Spin 3 (released June 20)
3. Battlefield: Bad Company (release June 27)

So thats 3 games, week after week from each other. I think when i’ve got the above games i won’t be buying a game for a good while.

I’m enjoying the PS3 and has some great games ahead that are exclusive to the console.

Anyway, online play in MGS4 will keep me occupied!

I’ve pre-ordered another game, it’s a sport game, a sport i don’t particular like but i know i’ll enjoy the game. That game is called Top Spin 3. It cost £29.99 from Gameplay.co.uk, you can’t go wrong with it being that price. Take a look at some Top Spin 3 screenshots and gameplay video, the online side of things sound really fun. You can have doubles, double up with your friend against 2 other random people from around the world does it for me.

So whats after them 2 games? Battlefield Bad Company looks good, Haze is not a bad game. I guess i will continue to play GTA IV and hopefully i will complete it, i tend to not finish games and leave them.

My work colleagues are trying to pursuade me to get an Xbox 360 but they don’t offer the games i want and most of the games come out on the PC (i have a gaming quality PC) for example Gears of War, Halo 3 will make its way etc etc. So technically i’ve got an Xbox 360.

Anyway it’s been a very hectic week with talkplaystation.com reaching new heights and records. I made a post on how to run Grand Theft Auto IV at 1080p on the Playstation 3. I even went as far as posting a video on YouTube and up to now it’s had more than 10,000 views. Continuing, i visit N4G.com every now and then, basically N4G stands for News for Gamers and is a Digg type of website where the most popular news is highlighted on the homepage, the more visitors visit the news, the more links to the news add to the heat (in this case degrees). Every news starts at 0°. The more visits, links and comments this news has the degree temp goes up.

So i visited N4G on Friday to find that my post about running GTA IV in 1080p was the second hottest news on N4G and was displayed on the homepage. What’s good is that i didn’t submit it, another user had submitted it. I didn’t submit it because i wouldn’t have thought it would pass the approval stages when you first post the news, the community have to approve the news before it goes live. So i thought great, i should expect massive traffic.

The following screen grab is the news on the homepage of N4G… It was the second hottest news on Friday.

I was excited on Saturday morning when i woke up, i immediately checked Google Analytics to check how many visitors i got for that day and here’s what it looks like…

I received nearly 11,000 visits for that day, it makes all the other days look like i’ve not had any visitors but really i get around 500 visits per day. From looking at the chart above, sometime last week i received a burst in traffic when more than 3,000 visits came in.

So do you want to know the stats from 03/04/08 until 03/05/08? Here we go:-

• 32,224 Visits (1,039.48 Visits/Day on average)
• 28,397 Absolute Unique Visitors
• 40,850 Page Views
• And today the subscriber count is 54

What i want to do is build a community for Playstation fans, it will be hard, very hard, there is a lot of competition out there but if i carry on the way things are going i’m sure i can achieve it. The GTA IV at 1080p news got to 950° in the end. Check the news on N4G out by clicking here.

Oh and 1 last thing, all these visits happened on the old server and handled it very well with no downtime, god knows what the new server is capable of! So far both of my sites have had 100% uptime while they have been live.

Well well, that means i’ve secure my copy because GTA IV is almost guaranteed to sell out day 1. GTA IV is expected to make around $400 million in it’s first week! thats crazy money!

The other game i’ve pre-ordered is a game i think everyone should pre-order and thats Metal Gear Solid 4 – only available on the Playstation 3. I’ve completed all the other Metal Gears and can’t wait for this one, the graphics look stunning along with the new gameplay features. I pre-ordered MGS4 at the weekend because i think it will probably sell out like GTA IV.

Also, one last thing is that buying games online is a big bonus as i’ve mentioned before because you can earn cash back from Quidco.
