Sorting the blog out

Today i’ve been sorting the blog out as i ran into a number of problems recently. I’ve put in a request to Google to remove my tag directory because they still have it indexed when i don’t want them to, this was a mistake i did.

If you haven’t noticed i’ve added a ‘Similar Posts’ plugin which basically displays a list of similar posts underneath the actual post. This is one of many upgrades for the blog.

 

Future plans

What i plan to do is develop this blog further, adding in new features such as ‘Recent Posts’ and ’Popular Posts’. I plan to implement this into the top section of my blog like so:

 

The red area will be split into 3 collums, ‘Recent Posts’, ’Popular Posts’ and RSS information will belong into the seperate collums. Nothing will be moved down apart from the starting point for blog posts. I think these upgrades will improve accessibility as i believe accessibility plays an important role when developing websites.

There is a niche i wish to explore, i want to start a blog up because i think i will do well in the niche i’ve chosen. I’ve been working hard on thnking of a name and domain name for this niche. I won’t give any details away just yet because it’s still in it’s planning stages, but do check back because it’s not far off.

I’m currently writing a review for Call of Duty 4, i  should be able to get it done either tomorrow or tuesday. It’s been a long weekend for me, i’m going to have some rest now.
