I lost a few visitor counts during the update period to wordpress 2.6. While i was upgrading to WordPress 2.6 a few plugins messed up and had to upgrade them too. There were a few days where visitor counts weren’t counting properly in Google Analytics. I use the Google Analytics for WordPress plugin.
Basically when i show my stats for July they probably won’t have met the goals i set, but who knows. I will have to take this into account.
On the other hand, i didn’t have time to implement that plugin i found (Content Gallery). I’ll try and get it in this weekend if i’m not busy.
The same thing happened to me – upgrading wordpress broke the Google Analytics plugin (basically it messed up all the settings).
I also spent some time wondering why the code wasn’t showing up. I then realised that it was because I was logged in as admin on wordpress.
There is a setting to prevent your own visits from registering on Google Analytics and that is how it is done – it hides the code when you are logged in.
Yeah, i was also wondering why the code wasn’t showing up and when i upgraded the settings for the plugin reset and showed up as ‘a’.
Pretty weird.
